- HDG A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
Srila Prabhupada (1896-1977) was a spiritual teacher and the founder-acharya (spiritual master) of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), also known as the Hare Krishna movement. He was born in Calcutta, India, and after a successful business career, he took sannyasa (renounced order) and traveled to the United States in 1965 to spread the teachings of Bhakti Yoga. He established ISKCON in New York City in 1966, and over the next decade, he traveled extensively, lecturing and writing books on the philosophy and practices of Krishna consciousness. Today, ISKCON has grown into a worldwide organization with thousands of members, and Prabhupada’s books have been translated into many languages and are widely read by spiritual seekers around the world.
A noble initiative to provide nutritious meals to the needy and devotees of Lord Krishna. With 2.89 crores meals served so far, we serve 4,500 people daily with a meal menu consisting of rice, dal, roti, sabji, and papad.
Our meals are prepared using high-quality, fresh ingredients, and follow industry-standard hygiene and safety measures. It takes 3 to 4 hours to prepare the meals with the help of 20 to 25 volunteers/devotees. We carefully determine the quantity of food to be prepared daily to avoid excess or wastage. However, we require ₹15,75,000 on a daily basis to continue this service.
Your Annadanam donation is crucial in helping us feed the needy and the devotees, and sustain this noble cause. Join us in making a difference by contributing to our Annadanam Seva.
Our Gaushala at a glance
Welcome to our Gaushala, a sanctuary for cows where we serve and care for more than 300 cows every day. Our Gaushala provides daily cow care, medical care, routine check-ups, and emergency care to ensure the well-being of these sacred animals.
We require more than 3000kg of fodder every day, including green grass, jaggery, grains, and various herbs for additional nutrition. Our facility is equipped with grass shredding machines, transportation vehicles, fans, clean sheds, and ample grazing fields with lush green trees.
We humbly request your support in the form of donations to continue our noble cause of serving and caring for these cows in need.
